Salt Lake City, Utah (April 6, 2020) Today, Foundation 4Life®
committed a baseline donation of $25,000 to Feeding America's Pandemic Response Fund. Feeding America is the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization.
Vice President of Service Catherine Larsen: “With 200 member food banks across the country and a pandemic Response Fund to help the hardest hit communities, Feeding America is established to provide the kind of personal impact we want from all Foundation 4Life service efforts.”
Feeding America operates through individual, corporate, and government relationships. Prior to the pandemic, an estimated 40 million Americans turned to the Feeding America network for support. With more than 10 million new unemployment claims since the outbreak, the network’s food assistance is more important than ever.
Feeding America CEO Claire Babineaux-Fontenot: “Our first priority is the millions of individuals, families, and seniors who rely on food banks for help. Our member food banks are always there to help throughout the year and in times of disaster. This fund will advance people’s ability to respond efficiently and effectively in their communities so that food is not added to the list of worries for families during this pandemic.”
